Dry Needling
It is the process of inserting a very fine needle into a “trigger point” in muscle tissue which causes the “de-activation” or relaxing of that trigger point normalising the muscle functioning. It is a highly effective technique when treating issues of neuromuscular dysfunction. Your physiotherapist will advise you if they feel this is an appropriate treatment option for your condition.
Dry needling has its origin in western medicine and has significant scientific evidence proving its effectiveness.
